This summer, Ostuni, a town lauded as one of Italy’s most picturesque locations, welcomes a new entrant in the luxury accommodations sector — Villa Vipp in Puglia. The Danish family-run and family-owned design company Vipp has turned to the Dutch design studio Studiotoff, renowned for its adaptive reuse and renovation projects. The Danish-inspired interior of the villa subtly contrasts the rustic charm of the Italian countryside.
Studiotoff has expertly incorporated Puglia’s traditional whitewashed architectural style into the modern guesthouse, forming a harmonious blend with the rugged natural landscape. This project marks Studiotoff and Vipp’s second collaboration in Italy, following the acclaimed Vipp Palazzo Monti in Brescia.
Studiotoff’s signature style of blending minimalist interiors with sharp architectural design ensures a tranquil, simple yet refined space with clear notes of Scandinavia. Commenting on the collaboration, Kasper Egelund, CEO of Vipp, says:
— While the surroundings ooze of Italy’s old charm, the interior is resolutely Danish. A warm minimalism that doesn’t scream for attention but conveys a subtle sophisticated experience.
