Swedish designer on joining UN-backed initiative to promote animal protection in fashion

Together with the United Nations Conscious Fashion and Lifestyle Network, footwear and tech entrepreneur Josefin Liljeqvist strengthens her devoted work to animal protection.

In a groundbreaking move, the Swedish fashion-tech brand has joined forces with the United Nations Conscious Fashion and Lifestyle Network. This collaboration is aimed at implementing pioneering strategies for animal protection within the global fashion industry.

Liljeqvist has been at the forefront of integrating technology and conscious design in fashion, creating a unique niche of purposeful luxury. The brand’s latest innovation, a Measure, Report, Verify (MRV) system named Responsible Systems, offers a comprehensive approach to ensuring transparency and accountability in the fashion industry’s supply chain, focusing on the well-being of animals.

The United Nations Conscious Fashion and Lifestyle Network, a collaboration between the United Nations Office for Partnerships and the Fashion Impact Fund, unites stakeholders from industry, media, governments, and UN bodies. It advocates for responsible practices in fashion and lifestyle, aligning them with the Sustainable Development Goals to emphasise these sectors’ impact on society and the environment and promote transparent and inclusive global engagement.
